Trojan Horse BackDoor.Generic8.ZST
Should i worry that someone knows what im typing when im inserting my credit card details? Im really clueless about trojans. I am trying to remove it but i worry, also if someone knows a virus knowledge page, (no symantec) to find out what exactly this virus does,
Thanks:/

Ok, first of all yes, you should always be worried when someone you dont know puts anything on your computer. no matter what it is. This looks to be a fairly new Trojan seeing as I am not able to find much info on it. Your anti-virus should be able to remove or at least quarantine the file. Let your anti-virus program remove the file. As for a place to learn about viruses. There are several sites you can use. The one that I use the most is the forum on MajorGeek.com. Best of luck and feel free to message me if you need more help.

You should immediately remove the Trojan. Go to and download the Free version. Before carrying out a scan check for updates.

A backdoor trojan is used to get into your computer with out permission. It can do several things as well as monitor your keys and transfer data without your knowledge. Try going to and finding the encyclopedia. In there you can look for the virus as get a full explanation of what it does and how to remove it.

There’s always cause for concern, but I wish you would have said which scan determined that you have this trojan, and what you have done thus far.
Superantispyware and A-Squared Free are both effective in removing trojans. I’d download and update both and run in safe mode with your hidden files shown. Quarantine everything that they find.
Superantispyware:
A-Squared Free:
How to start in safe mode:
How to show hidden files:
Then re-hide those files that you unhid, restart and run whatever scan told you you were infected. If it still shows up, then run some online virus scans that also fix what they find:
ESET (NOD32) Online scanner:
Bitdefender Online Scan:
TrendMicro HouseCall:
If after all of the above it is still showing up on whatever found it in the first place, I’d write it off as a false positive.
Good Luck.
